I am playing as a Devouring Swarm, and encounter a bug where it let me join the League of Non-Aligned Powers when two Fallen Empires woke up. A 30k power Federation fleet gone in an instant, split into a bunch of 2k-3k fleets, was promptly destroyed by the Tempest. Even better; take the civic that lets you move your pops for free, pause the game one the enemy fleet enters the system, and mass migrate your pops to your other planets. You can get around this partially by simply mouse-overing an enemy ship in the list, which shows their armor and shield HP values, thereby telling you what weapons to focus on. you can take earth as your homeworld, but you essentially have to build the imperium from scratch. One other AI joined later on and the other two AIs former their own Federation. Which will force everyone into a new federation then those new faction will dissolve after the mid game crisis has been dealt with. I want 1 more empire to join my alliance so I can make a fed, but they are all paired up how do I break them ?well the best solution is to just eradicate the crime corp in its entirety, but the alternatives are to either reduce crime to 0 and wait a bit, or to declare war with a special casus belli that forces the corp to remove it's branch offices from your planets. So now the entire map is split up between use three Empires. But you wouldn't want the opposite to be true, that you get beat up by an enemy but have an ally still big and strong but can't help you because your war exhaustion.
